Welcome to Paws of Enchantment, founded in 2005. We are now home based in Silver Spring off of New Hampshire Ave. In spring of 2020 we moved to our current magical property and now offer one on one, appointment based grooming services as well as animal communication and energy healing services. We continue to love cultivating personal relationships with our clients and their animals.

About Cassandra


Cassandra's belief in a holistic lifestyle for dogs and people extends far beyond just 'grooming'. In addition to a lifetime steeped in the grooming and husbandry dogs, Cassandra is passionate about the 'whole' dog-- body, mind and spirit. Cassandra has had an intuitive connection with the natural world since childhood and believes that animal care and communication is a spiritual path of its own. A multi-decade all breed groomer, Cassandra is also a certified Animal Communicator, Reiki Master and Crystal Healer. She has had extensive training in various forms of energy healing such as Scalar Wave, Silva Method, Sacred Animal Spiritual Alchemy, animal acupressure, and as a medium. In 2005 she opened the first holistic pet spa in the Washington, DC area, and her passion continues to be helping facilitate the human-animal bond, whether through beautification or healing and communication. She hopes to deepen these practices and for the current Paws of Enchantment to evolve into a holistic temple of the animals and their people with community, holistic boarding and care.

Cassandra shares her heart with a family of sighthounds whom she considers to be some of her greatest teachers. Though the original pack that have inspired her have since joined the spirit world, they continue to share their wisdom and their amazing vibration of love. In her space time, Cassandra enjoys being in nature, writing, training her dogs, dancing, and being with the people and animals she loves.

She continues to strive to live life in the vibration of Talia, the 'supermodel' and her original heart dog (knowing now that they are all our heart dogs), whose message of unconditional love was, and always is, 'May you always always be bathed in the sweet light of love'.
